We (Me and Tassos) decided to open an agrotourism in Cyprus while we were living in London in 2009, following our dream to live in the countryside, growing our own fruits and vegetables and enjoying nature. Our dream materialized in 2013 with the opening of Aperanti Agrotourism in Pera Orinis, Tassos' village.

Property info

Aperanti is not merely a rural accommodation in Cyprus, but a place where people can discover the authentic village life style by meeting the locals and tasting delicious home-made dishes prepared using our organic vegetables & local products. The guests can try our home-made products (Jams, liqueurs, olive oil) all organic and collected directly by us from our own field. They can also experience the halloumi cheese making by hand as it was done hundreds of years ago. We are also happy to give a lot of advice so that our guests can fully discover the beauty of our area, including nature, food, wine, traditional villages and archaeological sites. We can also help our guest in planning the rest of their trip in Cyprus cause we are travellers in our deep and we know the island very well, especially off-the-beaten track places

Neighborhood info

Pera Orinis is a picturesque village in the countryside,surrounded by olive trees and citrus groves, and overlooking at the Machairas mountains. Plenty of activities nearby: several trekking paths in the scenic Machairas mountains (15-30 mins drive), visiting the Riverland Biofarm and the Tamassos dam with the view of a majestic canyon (10 mins drive), enjoying wine tasting at AES Ambelis winery (15 mins drive), discovering the beautiful white-stone Agios Irakleidios Monastery and the archaeological site of Tamassos (20 mins walk, 2 mins drive). There is also a nature path starting directly from the village and reaching the Tamassos dam following the river bed (30-40 mins walk). The Unesco Churches of Panagia tou Araka and Stavros tou Agiasmati are only 40 mins drive. Spend a day visiting the last divided capital, Nicosia (20-30 mins drive).
