Annie

One of the few remaining restorated houses of traditional Cypriot architecture. Features 2 large and 1 smaller private bedrooms, suitable for different needs. One of the large sized bedrooms is equipped with private bathroom whereas the other two are sharing a bathroom, and all guests are sharing the internal courtyard, the large kitchen and the remaining common areas. Maximum number of guests is 8 so this is quite a cosy environment. Thus, cleanliness, safety and respect are top on the list to secure for the comfort of everybody! Ananke’s vision is to be the bridge between old-fashioned tourism and local and cultural immersion through the events of social or artistic interventions that may take place onsite during your visit. Looking forward to welcoming you!

Annie is motivated by her need to co-create the reality we humans share. She holds a BA in Psychology and Management studies, is actively involved with theatre and performing arts, and finds peace in Yoga practices including pranayama and meditation. She envisions spaces where people's authenticity is expressed and where people can feel safe and connected. The host also lives in Ananke home.

The district once called 'Manteia' in ancient times, meaning Divination, has been preserved both architecturally as well as socioculturally. It is one of the few neighbourhoods in Nicosia where one can get the feeling of community, almost like a small village, with residents and local visitors walking the streets feeling safe and embraced. The neighborhood is incredible as you can find everything you might need in minutes, including a local taverna right outside, coffee shop, night bar, as well as the entrance into the famous Pediaios river, an urban treasure for the locals, leading one into the centre in no time. This neighborhood is extremely interesting when it comes to its artistic initiation hubs, the cultural and youth centre right next door, a theatre, an arts school, a collective house dedicated to redefining the urban design and an exhibition space. A short walking exploration will leave all guests feeling pleased and safe.
