Mid 50's, I'm a 4th gen grazier's daughter, former journalist of Broken Hill's old Barrier Truth newspaper (now closed), and former Regional Landcare Coordinator our here so have many stories to share about this stunning, remote region.

Built in 1887, the Gladstone Hotel has been beautifully restored over decades with the (unlicenced) 1924 front bar now a cosy studio to record Barstool Stories. Guests can book up to four bedrooms (2 queen beds, 2 king beds can be divided into single beds) with access to all spaces during their stay, apart from host's bathroom and bedroom/office. There's off street parking, plenty of curbside parking for caravans, and secure parking for up to six motorbikes. All at ground level, this home is perfect for people with physical challenges. Warm in winter and cool in summer (fireplace and ducted heating and cooling) with private courtyard, large olive tree, BBQ area, A/C recreational / workshop space with tools, gym gear and art supplies, this 129yo bluestone building invites guests to soak up the peace, comfort and character of another era.

South Broken Hill is the quiet side of town with Bell's Cafe Museum, boutique shops, ovals, a wonderful park for family BBQ's, and an off leash dog park all a very short walk from The Gladstone.
