Three houses. One family. And the Allgäu – the way we live it. Schwangau Homes is a family-run passion project with 17 stylish holiday apartments spread across three unique houses. What began in 2007 with just four apartments has grown into a place for those who want to experience the Allgäu authentically – with comfort, character and true hospitality. Together with our small and dedicated team, we take care of every detail to create not just a place to stay, but a place to feel at home. Or as we like to say: Living like a Local.

Luna Mia is a home with soul – its story began in the 19th century as the “Gasthof zur freien Welt,” welcoming travelers with warmth and hospitality. Later, it became the creative studio of renowned food photographer Christian Teubner – a place where light, craft and beauty were at the heart of everything. Today, Luna Mia lives on as a boutique alpine residence – with original tiled stoves, pinewood parlors, open-plan layouts and Mediterranean-style tiles. The design honors the past while embracing modern comfort. Surrounding the house is a peaceful garden with old chestnut trees – a green retreat that invites you to slow down, sip your morning coffee or enjoy a sunset glass of wine. Some apartments offer direct access to the garden, others look out over the Allgäu and the castle on the horizon. Luna Mia means becoming part of a living story – and experiencing the beauty of the surroundings in a deeply personal way.

Quiet residential area, not much traffic. Safe neighborhood. Close to the famous castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Bullachberg and some street restaurants, as well as 2 supermarkets, a cheese shop, a brewery (the castle brewery) in Schwangau Mitte and a weekly market (on Thursdays) with local products in Fuessen.
