Our flat that we lovingly call our "Kleine 25", is the Bel Étage of a historic house, built in 1908. Today, it is a spacious, completely renovated holiday flat with lots of light and all the modern comforts combined with the charm of the Belle Époque: warm wooden floors, big windows, rooms with lots of light and ceilings with an impressive height of 3.5 meters that make it very special. We furnished the flat with high quality furniture and a modern decor with many individual, original details. The interior design is a special blend of old and new with plenty of pizazz in the kitchen.

My brother and I are Solingen natives, and are happy to introduce our city and the surrounding to you. Our holiday flat is situated in a house built by our great grandparents over 110 years ago. We own and operate a kitchen lifestyle and design store in the center of downtown Düsseldorf, where we sell individual kitchens made out of work bench elements and many special kitchen accessories. Hospitality and design are in our DNA! We speak German, English and a very little French with our guests.

Solingen, the "city of blades", offers a lot of interesting points of interest: The Müngstener Brücke - inaugurated as Germany's highest railway bridge not long before our house was built, the LVR Industry Museum, the Forge Hendrichs, the Plagiarius Museum, the Blade Museum or the Museum Baden - the only museum for "entartete Kunst" which was fordidden by the Nazis -in Europe, to name only a few. The Corkscrew Roadway, also known as Korkenzieherbahn, is a former railway, which serves now as a walking and biking path in Solingen. It follows the railway path Solingen - Wuppertal - Vohwinkel and is situated very close to our flat. Also the Cathedral of Cologne, the art museums of Düsseldorf, the pilgrimage church of Velbert Neviges, the Schwebebahn of Wuppertal or the Neandertal Valley are all not more than 30 km away. You find also a lot of nice outlet shops in Solingen, such as Zwilling, Wüsthof. A supermarket (Lidl) with a bakery and a little pizza place are located within walking distance. The Düsseldorf and Cologne tradeshow fairgrounds are reachable conveniently by train or by car in about 30 minutes.
