The apartment is located on the second floor of a modern half-timbered house with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The south-facing balcony overlooks the forest 50 meters away, while the north-facing balcony looks out over Haiger. The market square in Haiger, as well as shops and restaurants, is a 10-minute walk downhill; the train station is a 15-minute walk The vacation apartment was completed at the end of 2025 with a new bathroom and kitchen. The bed in the bedroom is 1.6 m wide and 2 m long. The living room features a new fold-down bed with a slatted frame. An additional fold-out bed can be provided. Smart TVs are located in the bedroom and living room.
After our children moved out to go to university, things got very quiet in our house. We converted the kids’ rooms into a separate apartment, and we’re happy to have more life in the house again thanks to our guests. Our passion is sports fencing (as a coach and athlete). We also love to go on vacation, preferably by motorbike.
Haiger is located in the Lahn-Dill district of Hesse, nestled between the Westerwald, the Rothaar Mountains, and the Siegerland region. The town has a population of around 19,000 and is surrounded by nature, cycling and hiking trails, and historical sights. The Eduardsturm, a historic observation tower offering panoramic views of Haiger, is not far from the apartment. There is also a trail leading to the Rothaarsteig hiking trail. The National Automobile Museum—The Loh Collection—is about 17 km away; Koblenz on the Rhine and Moselle is about 80 km away. Frankfurt is 100 km away, and Cologne is about 120 km away.
