This Bavarian castle hotel in Duggendorf overlooks the Naab River, 16 miles from Regensburg. It offers rooms decorated in an English country style, free Wi-Fi, a sauna and an award-winning restaurant. Dating from the 12th century, the Hotel Schlossresidenz Heitzenhofen provides recently renovated rooms with satellite TV, a minibar and safe. They feature their own private entrance and a small front yard. Breakfast is served in the Jägerstube restaurant with open fireplace. The traditional Schlosswirtschaft restaurant offers excellent French cuisine and Bavarian specialties. The Heitzenhofen’s beer garden is open during the summer. The surrounding countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling. Guests can rent bikes directly from the Heitzenhofen. Free parking is provided.
