The Residence Location: The Plaza location gives you an ideal base to explore Cómpeta with its amazing history, stunning Moorish architecture, individual shops, restaurants and tapas bars. The village is located seven hundred meters above sea level with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, countryside and Mediterranean, it is best known to many for its locally produced wine, available both dry and sweet, as well as being plentiful and cheap. Situated in the Axarquia region, a beautiful whitewashed Andalusian village amidst the majestic mountain scape of the Sierra Almijara.  The village has Moorish roots, evident in the style of the village, with its winding, narrow streets and peaceful squares. Located 20 kilometers north of the coastline of Algarrobo Costa, a car journey of half an hour and 53 kilometers from the Centre of Malaga, about an hour’s drive away.
