Alpujarra Guesthouse is a modernized, more than 200 years old, traditional farmhouse (cortijo). It is located on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range above the village of Lanjarón, between Granada and the Mediterranean Sea. Lanjarón marks the western entrance to the Alpujarras, a protected historic area dotted with small white villages. The off grid cortijo consists of three separate guestrooms, all en-suite and accessed from their private terraces. There are also a communal living room and dining area. Situated on over 3 hectares of private property, it offers a lot of privacy for you to enjoy the plunge pool and various seating areas. At less than 50 kilometres from Granada and the coast, and at the foot of the highest mountain range of the Spanish continent, lies the village of Lanjarón, renowned for its pure and wholesome mineral water. When you drive up the mountain roads (partially dirt track) for 15 minutes climbing to a height of 1,150 metres above sea level, you arrive at the boundaries of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park (Unesco Biosphere Reserve). From here you can enjoy views of both the Mediterranean and high mountain peaks.
