This lovely village house is in Torrox, a traditional Andalucian white village which is very well situated only 45 minutes’ drive east from Malaga Airport, close to the beaches of the Costa del Sol and on the edge of the stunning Axarquia National Park. The village has a really lovely square 2 minutes’ walk from the house with a range of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy al fresco dining throughout the year. There is also a great all year round climate controlled swimming pool only 7 minutes’ walk from the house.

The house has been beautifully and sympathetically restored and retains its rustic charm. It is well equipped with two terraces with wonderful views over the village, the mountains in the background and the sea. We have owned a house in this lovely village for the past 15 years and we bought it because we both love walking, particularly in the warm winter months when it is cold and grey at home. And in the summer months our family often joins us to enjoy the delights of the nearby beaches of the Costa del Sol. We also love the village as a haven of peace and tranquility. We come back again and again and never tire of its delights.

The village, surrounded by the range of Tejeda and Almijara, offers the tourist the contrast between the traditional image of this landscape and the modern spirit of Spain. The natural parks offer a walkers' paradise and information about many wonderful walks are available in the house. Coast/Beach: Torrox offers very beautiful and well-kept beaches with a total length of 9 km as for example El Peñoncillo, Ferrara, Torcasol and El Morche, where you will find all the facilities for your enjoyment, comfort and security. To walk down to the beach along the Rio Torrox takes 45 minutes, to drive 8 minutes and there is a regular bus service from the village to the beach (15 minutes). The nearest airport to the property is Malaga (45 minutes drive). The nearest town is Nerja (aroud 10 kilometres) where a visit to the Nerja Caves to see the cave paintings is a must. Malaga is a fascinating city (45 min by car)Granada and the Alhambra are 1 hr and 20 minutes drive by car. There are many shopping opportunities in Nerja and Malaga. The village is very well served with a range of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars all offering home cooked regional food.
