Neighborhood info

Our starting point will be the plaza Mayor. This main square slightly sloped to the north; it is mostly framed with arcades of the 16th century, except for part of the side bordering on the wall. This area outside the walls was originally used as a place of markets and fairs celebrations, until the growth of the city that became the Centre of social and commercial life of Caceres. From the center of the square we can see part of the wall of Caceres, as well as some of the relevant monuments that we will stop, including the main entrance to the walled enclosure: the arch of the star at the end of a granite staircase
