The Carmen flats are located in Maro, a small and genuine hamlet just 7 or 8 minutes drive from Nerja and 5 minutes drive from the crystal clear waters of the beach of Maro, within the natural setting of the cliffs of Maro and considered one of the best beaches in Spain, ideal for snorkelling, You can enjoy the waterfalls that form the cliffs and the natural caves that penetrate the rocks of the cliffs, a unique spectacle of nature that you can not miss, as well as the view of the famous Nerja Cave, both of which are located in Maro. The roof terrace with swimming pool is communal, as are the washing machines, there are two in a small room on the roof of the building. There are two communal sun loungers available on the terrace. Not adapted for people with reduced mobility. There is no cleaning service during the stay.There is free air-conditioning only in the living room of the flats. Ideal option to spend a few days with family or friends.Terrace available for use, but pool not available for use until 1 June 2023. The Carmen Apartments offer a special beach package which includes an umbrella, two chairs per flat, a cool box, a table / trolley to carry all the equipment. This service is available on request and extra costs. Great news! In 2026, all our apartments—except Apartment 1A, which was renovated in 2025—will be updated to offer you an even more comfortable and modern experience. Get ready to enjoy your next stay in a stylish, fully refreshed space! Parking in Maro is for residents only. You must park in the designated areas at the entrance/exit to Maro and in the car park beneath the church square.

Maro, is an area of Nerja, only 5 minutes drive from the centre of Nerja and the crystal clear waters of Maro beach, considered one of the best beaches in Spain. In the vicinity of the flat there are pharmacies, local grocery shops, typical tapas bars and cafes close to the main square of Maro, next to the church. It is a quiet and picturesque area that still retains the charm of a typical Andalusian village.
