A privileged apartment that overlooks a top roof in the heart of Madrid. This apartment is located in the heart of Madrid and the location is really unbeatable. It's within walking distance of a lot: the Royal Palace, the Prado and the Reina Sofia, the Plaza Mayor and the parks. It is also within walking distance of the Atocha train station (very convenient to visit Aranjuez, Toledo, Segovia,...). Metro stop just outside the building, Van transport from the airport for up to 8 pax for 45 euros, there is public parking in the same building and Low-Cost 200m away There are not three rooms as Booking indicates, but the living room has a door and a real bed which transforms the living room into a room with total privacy at night. There is also a large main room with a work table and WIFI with high speed fiber (600mb). The second room has two single beds and two single bunk beds (4 pax). All mattresses are high-end. 2 full bathrooms ensure a comfortable stay for groups of up to 8

Frederic is French, Luwana Brazilian/Japanese. We have lived in Brazil, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and now Madrid. We have two boys of college age.

The area known as the Barrio de las Letras (Literary Quarter) is a neighborhood in the center of Madrid where some of Spain's greatest literati have lived and written over the years. Today it is an area that combines literature, a bohemian atmosphere, entertainment, shopping, and good food. The neighbourhood is formed by narrow streets which are either pedestrianised or with restricted access to traffic, and pleasant squares such as the Plaza de Santa Ana. This is an area where it is easy to find houses in which towering literary figures of the Spanish Golden Age such as Lope de Vega, Quevedo, Góngora and Cervantes lived and wrote. This is why on the cobbles of many of the streets you'll find inscriptions and brief texts from the works of some of these writers. Another of the charms of the Las Letras quarter is its abundant offer of shops and businesses, which include everything from the most traditional establishments with centuries of history (such as cobblers, silversmiths and lute-makers) to modern avant-garde venues. You'll also find numerous restaurants and pavement cafes where you can enjoy the gastronomy of Madrid and the popular Spanish custom of 'going out for tapas'.
