Our house sits above the Spa town of Lanjaron in the Alpujarra Mountains of Spain. We are around 4km from the centre of town. The road consists of mainly tarmac and some track. It can be steep and narrow at times. We would recommend the use of a car good ground clearance to access the property. The house consists of two levels : the upper area is our home where we reside with our two Spanish rescue dogs, Hollie and Jerry. The lower part is our newly refurbished apartment which is available for rental on short and longer term basis. The apartment has a fully fitted brand new Bosch kitchen, so you can be fully self sufficient. The water comes from a local Spring and is said to have many beneficial healing properties. There are 2 bedrooms - both can be configured for twin or super king. Sleeping 4 guests comfortably. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. if you would like to add extra guests - this is open plan, so not much privacy. The bathroom is shared and has a modern shower. Bedding, towels (pool, hand and bath) , hairdryer and basic toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) are provided. If you are coming as a larger group, there is also the possibility of guests staying with us in the main house where we have a further 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people.

We are both active and love everything outdoors. One of the many reasons we moved here. When we are not out on our bikes in the mountains, we are generally hiking with the dogs. Sharon is an integrated manual and movement therapist. so, we can offer massage and movement practices in addition to your package. Richard is a chef, so we can also offer fabulous meals.

Lanjaron and the surrounding area has so much to do! For the active, there is hiking, biking (both road and mountain), climbing, trail running, horse riding and even paddle boarding. Or if you just want to relax, there is a Spa in town offering water treatments as well as holistic treatments. We are also only a short drive to the beaches of Salobrena and Almunecar. And if you like cities, Granada is around 45 minutes from here. The Alhambra is definitely worth a visit!
