Nueva de Llanes is an ideal base to explore eastern Asturias, combining peace and quiet with easy access to the area’s main attractions. Just a few minutes away by car you’ll find stunning beaches such as Cuevas del Mar and Gulpiyuri, the latter a unique inland beach declared a Natural Monument. The impressive Bufones de Pría, where the sea forcefully erupts through rock formations during rough weather, are also very close. About 15 minutes away is Ribadesella, known for its beach and the famous Sella River canoe descent, as well as the historic town of Llanes, with its harbour, restaurants, and traditional atmosphere. The area is also perfect for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, with routes through the Sierra del Cuera and easy access to the Picos de Europa.
