The Loft Gran Canaria apartments grew out of a familiar dream of the kind of accommodation we would like for ourselves when we travel, to suit each person’s individual tastes, the comforts we would like to find and how the place where we wake up every morning during our holidays ought to be. These nuances are reflected in the four apartments that make up the set. Each is decorated differently and has its own distinct personality, though all of them are equally welcoming, comfortable and fully equipped. Thanks to their central location in the old city of Arucas you will feel like one of the locals, whether strolling along the cheerful cobblestone streets, visiting the old quarry-stone houses painted in bright colours or enjoying the city’s delightful parks and gardens. The pleasant mild weather in the northern part of Gran Canaria will make your stay more enjoyable. Enjoying authentic local food in Arucas is very easy: in its pedestrian-only streets you will find a range of tapas bars, terraces open all year round and excellent restaurants offering some of the best value for money on the island. Papas arrugadas con mojo (Canary Island wrinkled potatoes with mojo sauce), aubergines with honey, Gofio escaldado (gofio mixed with fish or meat stock) and succulent fish and meat, accompanied by craft beers and Spanish wines, will make a your stay in Arucas a real pleasure. A visit to the Arehucas Rum Distillery is essential when you come to Gran Canaria, and it is just 400 metres away. Awaiting you there is a guided tour of one of the oldest cellars in Europe, with more than 4,300 American oak barrels, a real journey through the history of rum, culminating in a tasting of all spirits.
