The quaint little hillside village of Moclin is a 5 minute drive away overlooked by a 13th century castle which was built to mark the frontier between the kingdoms of Granada and Castile. A short 30 minute drive will take you into the historic city of Granada. Many have said 'If you visit only one city in Spain, make it Granada!' one of Granada's main attractions is of course The Alhambra palace, originally constructed as a fortress in AD 889. It is an exquisitely preserved Islamic palace and a unique gem, which must be seen to be believed. To preserve your carbon footprint, there are invigorating walks through the serene countryside. Bikes are available to use. A vehicle would be advantageous for extended excursions. Transport to Granada Alhambra and Sierra Nevada can be made available for a small fee.
