Hilltop Forest is a privately owned micro forest retreat offering premium self catering stays under an hour from Helsinki. Our locations are trusted by returning guests who value privacy, thoughtful design, and a peaceful natural setting. Stays at Hilltop Forest are self catering. We do not have restaurant facilities or permanent staff on site, but we do occasionally offer seasonal pre order services. Current availability and details can always be found on our own website. Our hosting team is available by phone if you need assistance during your stay. Hilltop Forest has been internationally featured in well known design and lifestyle media, including ELLE Decoration, Enki Magazine, and Harper’s Bazaar. Our forest locations have also been used as settings for brand and commercial photo shoots for several established international brands. From autumn to spring, Hilltop House is the only accommodation on our 16 hectare forest property. During this period, guests typically enjoy complete privacy with no neighbouring accommodations and uninterrupted access to the surrounding forest. During the summer season from May to October, we also operate two small Hideaway cabins within the same forest area. These cabins are located several hundred metres away from Hilltop House and are carefully positioned to maintain privacy for all guests at all times.

Hilltop House is a premium private villa (holiday home rental) hidden deep in the forest, designed for unhurried self catering stays surrounded by nature. It is ideal for family holidays, couples, small groups of friends, and intimate team offsites. The main villa features an open plan kitchen and living room with a fireplace and large windows opening to forest views. There are two bedrooms in the main house. The main villa has air-conditioning and black-out curtains. Just next to the villa is a separate private Forest Spa building, exclusively for Hilltop House guests. This building includes the third bedroom (no air conditioning), a traditional wood heated Finnish sauna, and an outdoor hot tub that is always warm and ready to enjoy. The sauna is heated by guests themselves. Beds are readily made when you arrive, towels are provided, and final cleaning is included to make your stay easy and relaxed. There is no staff on site, and arrival is via self check in, allowing you to arrive freely and enjoy the quiet of the forest from the moment you arrive. Hilltop House is about a one hour drive from Helsinki Airport and Helsinki city centre. Arrival requires your own car or a rental car, and there are no services within walking distance. In winter, access to the house requires a four wheel drive car, otherwise parking is available with a 500 metre walk to the house.

There are no services within walking distance. The closest shops, cafés, and restaurants are approximately a 15 minute drive away. Hilltop Forest is not an activity focused destination in the traditional sense. The experience is centred around the forest itself, unhurried days, and quiet moments rather than organised activities.
