This Himalayan style retreat cabin is a power place and designed for silent work, introspection and deep rest. It is actually empowered by great Tibetan Buddhist masters for meditation, hence there is a Buddhist altar and statue in the main room. People who like to stay here are not necessarily religious or meditators, but do have a caring and healthy relationship to the environment and respect for the spectrum of life. The cabin is now available also for extended weekends. You can arrive on Friday morning and leave on Sunday evening, or arrive on Friday evening and leave on Monday morning, which counts as 4 days. We are close to the capital area. If you have a car you reach many interesting destinations, at a short distance. Grocery shopping requires a car, but sometimes I can help.
I have retired recently from journalism, traveling and organizational work, but I still enjoy writing, to meet people and to learn new stuff. I have been a Buddhist for 20 years, which gives the cabin and this place it´s specific flavor. My own house is close to the cabin and I am available for my guests if they need help. For longer stays I can help with shopping, laundry etc.
If you need to move around, there is a bike that you can use to look around in the area; Degerby village or Kopparnäs recreation area only a few kilometers away, also Pickala Golf and actually all delights of Southern Finland coast line with it´s rich culture and archipelago.
