This house is located in a quiet hamlet in the countryside, and has a very nice garden. It has been renovated with eco friendly materials (paint, insulation made with hemp and wood wool). People looking for quietness and nature will be delighted to stay there. There are many walking paths around, and If you like fishing, you'll be the happiest person in the world! If you enjoy cycling, the rather hilly surroundings will be the perfect place for you!! In summer you can also discover canoeing or kayaking on the rivers nearby. The house is just 5 kms from the nearest town, which offers a wide range of supermarkets, shops, banks, plus a medical centre , the post office and the train station (several daily travels to Bordeaux, Périgueux, Bergerac, Angoulême). The house is an hour drive from both Bordeaux and Bergerac airports. It is located in Gironde, but at the crossroads with Dordogne and Charente Maritime counties. It is surrounded with the most wonderful vineyards in the world (Saint Emilion, which is listed Unesco World Heritage, Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol , Sauternes as well as the Pineau des Charentes and Cognac)!!!

The owner (who is my mother) is retired and lives just a few yards from the house. She will be more than happy to answer any questions you may wish to ask her, and kindly offers to show you around some walking paths if you'd like to. As she is retired, she is very much present on the site and available if you need help or just some information. I myself regularly visit her, but I'm not present on site all the time.
