Welcome to our second gite, Owl which opened in July 2026. It is an elegantly furnished, centrally heated 2 floor holiday home in our converted barn dating back to the 1800s and with stunning views of The Pyrenees. Next door we also have Hoopoe which is our smaller gite for up to 4 people and so we can accommodate groups of up to 10 people. Hoopoe has been open since June 2023 and has the most positive reviews on on this site for accommodation in our area. Owl offers a peaceful location with mature wooded gardens, free onsite parking & a shared 12x6m swimming pool during the summer months. A swing & trampoline are provided for children. If you want to relax, hike, ski or cycle we are the place for you. Fully self contained with its own entrance the price includes breakfast every day of your stay (see below) plus 100% cotton bedding, towels, soap, shampoo, flat screen smart TV & Wi-Fi. Walk (30 mins) or drive (4 minutes) to town. We are just off the A64/E80, an hour’s drive from the ancient city of Toulouse and its airport & less than an hour from Tarbes airport, 40 minutes to Spain & 2 ski resorts. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to stairs the property is NOT suitable for guests with mobility issues. It accommodates up to 6 adults and 1 baby in a cot. The two bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and one has a 160x190cm bed, the other has a 140x190cm bed. The bathroom has a corner shower, toilet and washbasin. Both bedrooms have stunning views. Downstairs is an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen with a double sofa bed, smart TV, dining table and fully fitted kitchen. A cot is available on request, pre booking required. It is a lovely airy space with ceilings over 3m high & exposed oak beams. The following breakfast items are included for each day of your stay:- fresh bread, jam, butter, assorted teas, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, fruit juice, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries & yoghurt.

For cyclists, skiers etc we offer free safe internal storage for bikes, skis etc as well as a drying area. For guests travelling with a trailer, caravan etc there is plenty of free onsite parking. For those who need to work there is a desk abd high-speed fibre. There are books, puzzles and board games. The mature garden and woodland, which is available to guests. offers a tranquil place to relax in the day and evening. Guests have tables, chairs, sun loungers and BBQs. SORRY - no pets. We live in the attached house so we are here to help if you need us. We have a variety of good shops, dentists, doctors and a hospital within a 6 minute drive but as we arent in the centre of town we have the countryside in our garden, if you want to see nature look no further as we have birds of prey, red squirrels, badgers, hedgehogs and deer, amongst others, in the garden! There are a large number of local events, many free and we have a large local market in town every Thursday. We hope that you come to see us and fall in love with the area, as we have done.

We are in a lovely area of France with mountains, waterfalls, caves, airports, shops and Spain very close but the area is also quiet. There are some great places to go to visit and we would be delighted to give you advice on what to do in the area.
