we were 4 motorbikers on very short notice for 4 single rooms, including dinner. it was an excellent stay, visit the marvellous village as well by foot. rooms, dinner, breakfast, all served with a big and generous smile in this somewhat remote location. i warmly recommend the hotel, call before so that the chef can get his shopping list right before. motos parked on the sidewalk in front of the hotel.

Wonderful and welcoming hosts. Beautiful room with a very well equipped kitchen. Everything was perfect. We were on our bikes and it is perfectly set up as a base for hub and spoke rides. Our next visit will be longer.

Saint Gaudens was not particularly pretty, nor was it near...

Saint Gaudens was not particularly pretty, nor was it near anything very interesting. I would not recommend to others as there are so many other more beautiful places in France to visit, unless you are visiting friends or family.

We enjoyed an easy walk (on both days) to the main square...

We enjoyed an easy walk (on both days) to the main square with the church where there are bars. There are some interesting monuments, especially to the Great War. The town is set in lovely countryside, sadly spoiled by a paper factory which provides the town's main employment. We drove to St Bernard Les Comminges with a stunning church - one of the most beautiful villages in France - a short drive away. We hoped to return on one of the pretty routes with views of the Pyrénées but we were in rain. We also visited the little motor museum in St Gaudens run by volunteers. It celebrates the years when a motor race was held in St Gaudens, from the mid 1920s until 1953 when an accident at Le Mans forced it to close. Enzo Ferrrari raced there. The museum is called Musée du Circuit du Comminges. There is some fascinating old movie film which can be seen.

The apartment was well equipped, clean and comfortable, light and airy and matched the photographs so we were not disappointed, it was also very quiet and peaceful. We had clear instructions on how to access the property with the code to the lockbox. The location was very good with the main square just around the corner with access to bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the stay using Saint-Gaudens as a base to visit places in the area including Toulouse.

I had a lovely stay of 2 nights here. The hosts, Jo and Nick, are great. The room was very very nice, too. I was traveling by bicycle and it's just a few km's out of town of Saint-Gaudens. So for anyone not here with a car, but with a bicycle: yes, it's entirely doable to do the round-trip for restaurant visits! Overall, I can highly recommend staying here.

Simple hotel with well sized, comfortable rooms. Availability of parking was a plus. Restaurant on site was very good and a great alternative in very hot weather. Breakfast excellent and all very reasonable.
