The bed is wide and very comfortable - I had the best sleep after days of traveling and staying in hotels. Spacious room with a long table to put things on. Small balcony with a view of the mountains and the pool (room 14). Easy access just off the highway. Good selection of French TV channels. Free parking and strong wifi. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel in a great location. We got there early - before 1pm and were able to store our bikes and luggage for a couple of hours before we checked in. Breakfast was simple standard fare, but very good.

The room and bathroom were much bigger than the usual road hotels. Very clean and beds were really comfortable. Although facing the parking lot and road, we didn´t hear them at all. At night, anyway, there is no traffic. The staff were very nice and helpful, we loved the breakfast, especially the fresh orange juice that you prepare by yourself. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious pizza, home made. The location is perfect, just outside of Foix, and you can also enjoy the nearby park and river access that this hotel has.

Layout of the apartment is great for traveling with a baby, the rooms are set apart from the living room and kitchen. Place was very clean, no dust in corners! We noticed because of the baby. Also floors and doors are quiet, no loud creaking. Excellent location for Foix itself and for things outside of Foix

The location is perfect right below the castle of Foix, and we liked that the apartment has multiple levels for the different living/sleeping spaces. We used a free parking lot that was about 5 minutes walking from the apartment. We would stay here again!

Lovely area.

Lovely area. Don't miss the Underground River tour at La Bouiche, and the Grotte du Mas d'Azil was amazing though the tour was only in French and you do not get to see the paintings. Pity the Museum opens at 4.30pm and we did not have enough time to visit it.

Foix is really lovely.

Foix is really lovely. Packed full of great restaurants, most of which are very reasonably priced. It's also quite small so you can walk to pretty much wherever you want to visit and it's very very French, so chock full of charm. There's a Farmer's market on Friday in the morning at which you can buy the most delicious food and drink for very sensible prices. Will definitely go there again.

Foix is a charming French town, a bit shabby, with a large castle towering above it. We didn't make it to the castle bc we went to Cacasonne instead. We ate a a good restaurant called Guarana in the town. They have more modern dishes, but be prepared for cheese! Loved seeing one of the towns the Tour de France races by in person!

A quiet, commuter sort of city.

A quiet, commuter sort of city. During our stay, the castle and the trail to the terrases overlooking the city were unfortunately closed, and likely will be well through 2024. This area would be much better to explore with a car to access the parks and farther out points. As it was, this stop was a letdown on our trip and our time would have been much better spent elsewhere.

In the center of the city of Foix there is a famous medieval...

In the center of the city of Foix there is a famous medieval castle, which is currently being renovated. Next to it there is a nice museum. Surrounding ancient part of the city is very pleasant. There are a lot of small shops and places to eat. There is a trail up to a nearby plateau with an excellent view of the castle and the city of Foix and of surrounding area. There are a lot of interesting places around Foix: the Devil's bridge, a forge with a museum, an underground river, and several castles.

A charming city with many interesting old buildings some of...

A charming city with many interesting old buildings some of which have been renovated and some of which need renovation. It is well-provided with restaurants; we had good food in Le Vertigo and the Bar Auberge Miranda. It was unfortunate that the Chateau was closed due to the installation of an elevator - it should be open for summer 2024.

Staff very helpful. Bar area comfortable. Room big - family room. Bathroom good size -had a bath . Plenty of work space. Towels toiletries etc all good . No kettle . Restaurants close by . Close to old town river and castle . No parking at hotel but could drop off pick up luggage. Plenty of free parking in Foix. Did store bikes. Interesting history.
