Arnaud and Alexis love to entertain and welcome guests. Arnaud was born in France and Alexis in California. They both dreamed of living in a château as small children, and were excited to make their dreams come true in November of 2024. They have a combined experience of 30+ years in hospitality, allowing for an upscale experience in a charming Bed & Breakfast atmosphere. Mostly they just love people and hosting, and sharing their beautiful historical property with friends they haven't met yet. They are joined by their 16 year old dog, Poppy (Chug), and their 9 year old kitty (who stays downstairs to protect the furniture and our guests with allergies) Grouch.

Called a "Fairytale Chateau" by so many, our property is a blend of serene nature and old world elegance. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and all have views of the large 16 acres park. Nestled near the Oust River at the apex of Nantes, Rennes, and Vannes it is the perfect place to find some restorative time, or go on some outdoor adventures. Our guests say it's like going back in time. The original parquet floors are worn soft by the soles that have traversed them for 160 years. The park is bursting with flowers, fruit trees, and bird song. Our linens are Egyptian cotton, soft and complimented by our luxurious down comforters to ensure your blissful nights sleep. You will enjoy sitting in the Salon by the big fireplace, or having breakfast in our formal light filled dining room. Cozy swinging chairs look over the pond, and beg to be curled up in with your favorite book, or hot beverage and some good conversation. Our property also has an on-staff executive coach, offering stays with coaching sessions, or facilitation for your executive retreat. Rennes and Nantes offer airports 45 - 70 minutes away with car rental for easy access. Coin de Paix got its name when the hosts described the Chateau de Launay as a true corner of peace.

10 minutes from large supermarkets, a weekly market on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 45 minutes from the coast of the Golf of Morbihan, we're a perfect base-camp to explore Brittany. You can do a day trip to Mont-Saint-Michel which is only 1H40mn drive from us. Explore Josselin, Rochefort en Terre and so much more. The train from Paris, is 2hr 5 min and arrives in Redon, 12 minutes from the Chateau. Bring your bike and explore mountain bike trails, or a long leisurely ride along the river on the flat path.
