Our bed and breakfast is located in a delightfully peaceful and secluded property located amongst the vineyards. Its name 'Guit' is the Gascon word for duck. This stunning renovated Maison de Mâitre, built in 1808, has an enviable position in a peaceful valley, 2km from Viella. The grounds (parkland, pool and small orchard) amount to almost 2 hectares and are surrounded by vineyards. The nearest neighbours cannot be seen or heard from the property. There are lots of delightful walks amongst the fields and vineyards, and in Spring and Autumn on clear days the sight of the Pyrénées from the top of the hill is stunning. PLEASE NOTE This property is in an isolated, rural, peaceful location. We are 2km from the nearest village and 10 minutes drive from the local small town of Riscle. It is often difficult to find somewhere to eat in the evenings, unless you book in advance. Please ask us for restaurant/bar recommendations when you make a reservation with us.

We are a British couple. My husband is a retired TV producer and I'm a teacher and counsellor. We both have a huge love of France, it's culture, food, wine and people! Post-Brexit we are now French residents. We are a relaxed family with three adult sons, who live in London, and two friendly dogs. PLEASE NOTE As our animals are getting old unfortunately we are now unable to accept bookings for guests bringing their own animals.
