Judith et Arne
Le Couvent – a charming house nestled in a former convent in the heart of the Aveyron, near Lunac. Tucked away in the hills of southern Aveyron, this unique holiday home is situated in a small village. Carefully renovated in a modern style, the house has retained its authenticity: thick natural stone walls, harmonious proportions and a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the countryside. The open-plan ground floor comprises a spacious living room with a fully fitted kitchen, two fireplaces and a bathroom. Large French windows open onto the terrace and the swimming pool (9 x 4 m), creating a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors. Upstairs, you will find four bedrooms (two with king-size beds, one with a double bed and one with four single beds) as well as a second bathroom. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a barbecue. Enjoy a unique balance between tranquillity and convenience: local markets, historic sites, museums and charming restaurants are all nearby. Its prime location, surrounded by nature, makes it a true haven of peace. We recommend arriving by car so you can explore the region at your own pace. The house does not have central heating and is heated by fireplaces.
We are Judith (architect) and Arne (engineer), and we fell in love with this special place in the Aveyron – above all with the light, the tranquillity and the sweeping views across the landscape of Le Bas Ségala. The house has a long history and was originally part of a monastery. You can still feel this special atmosphere today. We have carefully renovated it, respecting the existing structure and with a keen sense of space, materials and light. It is the sunsets and the warm evening light in particular that make this place unique to us – and that is exactly what we would like to share with our guests.
A charming retreat in Bas Ségala, Aveyron Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Aveyron, our house is situated in the idyllic setting of Bas Ségala – a haven of peace, authenticity and closeness to nature. Surrounded by meadows, small woods and traditional stone villages, here you will discover the south of France in its purest form, far from the tourist centres. The house combines architecture typical of the region with modern comforts. Bright rooms, natural materials and thoughtful details create a warm and relaxed atmosphere – ideal for unwinding and switching off. Whether it’s breakfast on the terrace overlooking the greenery, long walks through the rolling countryside or trips to nearby villages and markets: here, everyone can find their own pace. The region offers plenty of opportunities for nature lovers and explorers – from hiking and cycling to the cultural sites of the surrounding historic towns. Perfect for anyone seeking peace and quiet, wishing to enjoy the scenery and discover authentic France.
