After having lived in Lorraine, Burgundy and Normandy, since 2016 we have moved to Occitania. This region has seduced us with its climate, its peace of mind, the benevolence of its inhabitants and the wealth of its heritage. Rosières is a small rural community of 600 residents. Today we want to give you a moment where you can think of nothing but to enjoy the present moment.

Property info

We welcome you in this old farm, typical of the south west, completely renovated. The building is built of adobe ( battered earth) according to local customs of the 1850s. With 60 cm thick earth walls, this type of construction gives it natural thermal stability. This type of construction is only weatherproof if it is properly protected and, as originally, completely covered with a lime coating. We wanted to leave a few sheltered places visible for memory. Many of these buildings collapsed. So there is very little left and we worked for 6 years to share it with you.

Rosières is a small rural commune of 600 residents. The manse of Janades is located on the heights of this commune and benefits from a 360° panorama. At only 17 km, Albi offers you : Its cathedral, its museums, the Berbie palace with its gardens and the banks of the Tarn to walk on foot or by gabarre. Different walking tours will take you through the old town, showing you the half-timbered houses, the cloister and the old mansions.
