It is a modern south-facing detached chalet built in 2011, on land belonging to the owner's family. The OVO Network team’s opinion - With one of the most beautiful views in Montisbrand, this six-bedroom three-bathroom property for 12 is spread over three floors and has plenty of space for a couple of families or a group of friends to spread out and be comfortable indoors and out all year round. We only ever recieved positive feedback from all who previously stayed at the Lodge. With a sauna on the lower floor, a nordic bath outside, and a lounge space on the first floor, there are plenty of extra facilities. There is also a gorgeous indoor pool, TV room and gym. The property is in a quiet village 4km outside of Thones. The nearest ski bus stop is just over a kilometre away, so a car is necessary. However, if you prefer looking at stunning landscapes or being close to town, then this could be the perfect spot for you. The view of the resort of Manigod/ Merdassier all lit up for night skiing is quite spectacular. You will also find a charging point for electric vehicles at the property. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included. Security deposit: The owner requires a 1,000 euros damage and excess cleaning guarantee. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your payment details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

Lodge La Source is just outside the market town of Thônes and a 10-minute drive to Manigod/Croix Fry, a less crowded access point to the Aravis ski area. Although a bit of a drive from the pistes, roads are cleared regularly, so that in fact access can be quicker from here than from properties in villages closer to the pistes, with more challenging private driveways. The resorts of Le Grand-Bornand and La Clusaz are also easily accessible. There’s a great choice of cross-country ski, snow-shoe and walking trails. For the ultimate in winter fun, try dog-sledding, paragliding on skis, horse-drawn sleigh rides or ski joering – skiing while being towed by a horse! Non-skiers are not forgotten in winter, with the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, ice skating rinks and cinemas, and sophisticated shopping in nearby Annecy and Geneva.
