The Maison du Roy was built around 1212 and has 2 columns on its facade and balcony from destroyed VIII century Abby by crusades in 13 centuries. House is French national heritage with its own reach history and Royal Fireplace protected by government of France. Maison Du Roy was granted to King of France Louis VIII by grateful town citizens after Luis VIII took Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val unfree his protection! In 12-13 centuries, ground floor was used for trade and upper for habitation. We decided to fallow this tradition! Maison du Roy is in the medieval city of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val opens its doors to you after careful restoration have been done in the past 2 years! Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val Beginning with a Benedictine Monastery in the 8th century, the medieval town has hardly changed over 800 years. Many buildings are listed in the French national heritage records. The streets are bordered by old houses, artists, and craft shops. Sunday mornings, a market is held in the town! Sports and outdoor activities include climbing, hiking and mountain biking, canoe-kayaking, and fishing. If you want to return in medieval, this is a grate spot to learn history for you and your children. Also, despite of age of the building, during our 2 years renovation, we put all modern amenities within scope of possibility and city permission (no air-condition permitted, but we have portable fens in every bedroom) for our guests to be comfortable. Even whole new water cleaning system with clean drinking water! Witch is not often seen in other properties in the village. Grate spot for family and friends vacation time!

Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val is a medieval town that has changed very little since medieval time... much less than in most towns. Visitors would feel like they are in museum under the sky, and it is not hard to imagine oneself back in the Middle Ages. Wandering around very narrow streets one can feel what it was like living back 600-800 years ago. Rampart walls surrounded the town were over 10 m high. The dwellings, workshops, shops, animals were all contained inside. Cloth, linens, and leather were the main industries of the town. You can see water channels all around the town which were required to support those industries. They were dug by monks prior to 1155. This was a period of prosperity for Sant Antonin, lasting from 1140 to 1337. It was one of the wealthiest towns around. After the French Revolution Saint -Antonin become a destination for many artisans and artists. Today it is one of the most complete medieval cities left in France. There are many activities all around: Cirque de Bone -5 km hike/bike where you will have view of 180 degree of Averon river, Bruniquel, Penne ancient castles, Chateau of Cas (from 9 century) is available for visits and weddings. The entire region is famous for wineries, farms with fruits and vegetables. You can also buy the best quality products at the famous Saint Antonin Sunday Market! Don't forget the beautiful Aveyron river with fishing, kayaking, swimming and just picnicking. All these activities surround our piece of history.
