The Manoir du Belvedere was built in the 16th century, on the ground of Chateau d'Auray, a few steps from Saint Goustan port. The walls surrounding the Manoir are original walls of the Chateau. All rooms are large. The wooden floor in the sitting room was laid using ancient methods. The stone wall in the basement of the whole Manoir is 1.8 meters thick. It is very cool inside the Manoir no matter how hot it is outside. One never has to use air conditioner. The Apartment is accessible through an independent entrance door and an external Iroko staircase. from the Garden room and from the garden one can see a huge three-hundred year old magnolia tree. There is a private garden, as well as a patio - perfect for outdoor dining.

We renovated the Manoir more than two decades ago and in the process discovered many historical relics, especially on the ground floor.

The Manoir du Belvedere is located right in the heart of Auray, on a pedestrianised street, two steps away from the famous Port of Saint Goustan. There are many interesting sites in and around Auray to visit, including Vannes, Chateau de Souscinio..., and many easily accessible beaches such as Carnac, Locmariaquer, Trinite sur Mer, Etel, Erdeven (about 10-15 minutes drive)....Fun and sport activities include sailing, wind surfing, horse riding, swimming. Auray has a very modern pool that contains several pools including a wave pool and spa facilities, located not far from Super U supermarket. Many restaurants, creperies, bars are meters away from the Manoir du Belvedere. Guests can buy fresh fish and crustacia in the Halls, 100 meters from the property. The Monday market in Auray is a must see. A town supermarket is 200 meters away, and there are several supermarkets within 2 minutes drive from the Manoir. Numerous shops and boutiques are next door. There is also a Gallery with dozens of shops located 50 meters from the Manoir du Belvedere.
