We are two Australians living out our dream of owning and personally operating a beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of the Loire valley and sharing it daily with fantastic people from all over the world. Together we share over 30 years of experience working in the Hospitality industry in various international 5 star hotels. James is trained in Hotel Management and Matthew is a qualified Chef de cuisine. Our combination of skills is perfect for offering our customers a relaxing and worry free stay here at Sans Souci Bed and Breakfast.

Sans Souci bed and breakfast is situated in the heart of the Loire valley, surrounded by dozens of famous royal Chateaux and beautiful wineries. As owners we specialise in providing beautiful and spacious guest rooms with quality amenities while providing quality service to all our customers. We take great pride in the meals we serve to our customers, a breakfast which is full and hearty with an inclusive à la carte hot breakfast menu. Matthew the owner is a qualified Chef de cuisine with over 20 years experience. All dishes are homemade. We look forward to celebrating this wonderful region with you.

We are situated just 5km from chateaux Chenonceaux, in a quiet hamlet called Lorthier. This beautiful area is surrounded by wineries, vineyards, chateaux, walking and bike paths.
