Pennal is a small village which offers a local pub (restaurant) with beer garden adjacent to the river, or head into the market town of Machynlleth to find a greater choice of eateries, plus a supermarket to pick up any essentials. Enjoy a pleasant walk along the riverbank or down on the local beach. Biking and hiking is always popular in this area. Why not take a trip to the Centre for Alternative Technology (10 minutes drive away) and featured on the BBC's Winterwatch or visit the Corris Craft Centre to enjoy a boat ride into the mines or candlemaking etc.
