2 Calgow Cottages is a fully refurbished semi-detached cottage in the heart of Galloway, within walking distance of Newton Stewart, described as the 'Gateway to the Galloway Hills'. Our large garden backs on to the mature woodlands of Kirroughtree Forest, famous for its recreational offering including bike shop and cafe, walking trails, and home to one of the 'seven stanes' mountain biking sites. Closeby are miles of coastline, hills, and spectacular scenery, ideal for that perfect getaway.

Professional couple wanting to see the world and host families, friends, groups, bikers, walkers or even just a cosy weekend away from your busy schedules to our wonderful cottage here in Newton Stewart, the gateway to the Galloway Hills. We live within 5 minutes of the property and can quickly be on hand to assist/rectify and issues that may arise. We would be contactable by phone, text message or email.

The property is within walking distance of Newton Stewart, and backs on to Kirroughtree Forest, famous for one of the 7 stanes mountain biking centers. There is a regular bus route which stops near the property. This provides options to head to Dumfries or Stranraer and onward journeys thereafter. There is a cycle path that takes you directly into Newton Stewart within 5 minutes. The property is within half an hour of the ferry port of Carinryan, which allows for day trips to Belfast. Off street parking is available at the property for 3 vehicles.
