Set high above the quiet hamlet of Rydal, 2 Hart Head Barn is a beautifully refurbished Lakeland barn with far-reaching views across Rydal Water, Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. Renovated throughout it blends traditional Lakeland character with modern comfort, offering a generous, welcoming base for families or groups of friends in one of the Lake District’s most scenic settings. Ground Floor: ◉Entrance via the steep driveway with parking for up to 5 cars. ◉Hallway: Access the main areas of the home with convenient self-check-in. ◉Utility Room: Large space to leave coats and boots, featuring a washing machine and dryer, hanging space for washing and space for up to 4 bikes.  This can be accessed directly from the driveway. ◉Double Bedroom: with wardrobe and dressing table. ◉Twin Bedroom: with wardrobe and chest of drawers. ◉Super King Bedroom: with wardrobe and chest of drawers. ◉King Bedroom: with wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table. 2 Hart Head Barn sits next door to Rydal Mount and right on the Rydal–Grasmere circuit walk. The Fairfield Horseshoe starts nearby, and some of the Lake District’s best walking, cycling and wild swimming spots are close by. Rydal has two cafés and a welcoming pub, The Badger Bar, serving food, so you don’t have to travel far on quieter days. Grasmere is around a one-hour walk, while Ambleside is about 30 minutes on foot, or just a short drive in either direction. The bus stop is at the bottom of the hill from the house (5-7 minute walk), there are regular buses to Ambleside, Grasmere and Windermere.
