2 Mill cottages is tucked away in the small village of Tuckenhay. At present I am offering one room for B&B The cottage is over 200 years old but was extensviely modernised about 10 years ago to provide modern comforts. There is no mobile signal at the property but we have WIFI that though not brilliant is adequate.Outside the cottage there is a pretty garden and a terrace with seating. Parking is in the track behind the property. Some reversing may be required but that is the way in the Devon lanes.

I am a retired Baker, confectioner. I still like to bake so you will find home made bread for breakfast and biscuits in your room. My other interests include gardening, crafting, visiting National trust properties and I sing with the local community choir. My husband Graham is co host and is always available to help with maps etc of the local area.

Tuckenhay is situated on the banks of the Bow Creek, a tributary of the river dart. It is 4 miles from the popular town of Totnes and 6 miles from Dartmouth . We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and the coast is not far. Torbay, Blackpool sands and Torcross and Slapton sands to name a few. Ther are 2 local pubs in walking distance. The nearest is the Maltsters Arms a popular restaurant that has new tenents and a little furthur is the Watermans Arms that offers the usual pub fayre. It is best to book either of these places in advance especially in the busy months and weekends. Check out their websites for menus and information. There is also The Durant arms in Ashprington and The Hunters Lodge in Cornworthy. The Devon lanes can be narrow and busy in the summer months something to take note of but the area around us is beautiful with rolling hills and the Bow creek.
