Hi and welcome to our super newly refurbished bungalow in the gorgeous area of Carbis Bay, just 1.2 miles from the centre of St Ives and 15 mins walk onto Carbis by beach. The house is bright and airy with beautiful furnishings and decor. There are two double rooms and one twin. The lounge diner has a dining area for 6 (plus high chair if required) and the lovely lounge opens up via French doors onto a fabulous private and secure garden. There is a huge deck area with loungers and a lovely separate deck with dining area again for 6 with glimpses of Godrevey Lighthouse. The kitchen is also brand new and is fully stocked utensil wise. There is a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer and coffee machine. (Tesco is a 5 min walk) The bathroom has a lovely huge walk in shower. Parking is ample as the whole of the street is free. We have a drive area also., and garage for storage of luggage, bikes etc
Our neighbours are wonderful so if we are not around to help with anything, they will. I am happy to recommend to you, all local offerings of restaurants, walks etc so please do not hesitate to ask. I have however put in the house, a large folder of beach guides, restaurants and literally ALL activities and things to do in the area. I will send you a list of personal recommendations and where to shop for supplies on your journey to the house as you get near by.
The beautiful white sandy beach at Carbis Bay has been awarded Blue Flag status, meaning it has superior levels of water quality and beach cleanliness. Here there is a fabulous beach side terrace restaurant, and many types of water sports equipment for hire. The South West coastal path runs along from Carbis Bay to St Ives, and the views from this path are truly stunning. A coastal train also runs along the cliff-side, transporting passengers between Carbis Bay and St Ives. The village itself has a convenience store, chemist and Tesco supermarket within walking distance along with restaurants/bars and a local pub within 5 minutes. The Property is opposite the beautiful Knill Steeple.. Here you will see far reaching views up the Cornish coast in one direction and over the moors toward North Cornwall in the other. Once in St Ives the beaches are also breathtakingly beautiful: There are bus stops with regular buses at the end of the road on the main road area which take 5 mins into St Ives. Alternatively there is the gorgeous coastal train from Carbis Bay Beach area (there is a small station car park). In St Ives, taxis wait by the cinema.
