We have just taken over this beautiful apartment in the prime location in the heart of Portinscale right next to Derwent Water. If you are a walker, cyclist, water sport lover or simply enjoy relaxing in the tranquility of this beautiful part of the Lake District, then this is the place for you! We are dog lovers and well behaved dogs are very welcome.

Hi, I live in Penrith and love the Lake District. Along with my partner Doug and two beautiful cockpoos, I regularly walk the hills and lakes in this amazing area. If you want any tips or advice, don’t hesitate to ask. We are available for correspondence throughout your stay should you need.

Portinscale is a quiet and picturesque village on the edge of Derwent water. We are a 5 minute walk to the lake side and marina. There’s a traditional Lakeland’s pub called the Farmers Arms no more than a 3 min walk away where you can enjoy Lake District hospitality. You can be at the top of Catbells within an hour of stepping outside the front door, no car needed.
