Convenient for bus services. Terminus five minutes walk from ferry terminal. Didn't need a car and went to Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin, Newport and Alum Bay by bus.

We loved the staff and relaxed feel of the hotel. The gardens are lovely to relax in and also the food and service was just perfect in the restaurant. A really enjoyable weekrnd and we hope to return soon!

The staff are all local and very knowledgeable about places to visit, like Quarr Abbey, Osborne House and things to see; our amazing coastal walks and cycle paths and the stunning drive around the Island's coastline. They can advise the best place to see our red squirrels, alpacas, deer, donkeys, monkeys, lions and tigers .... yes, all on the Isle of Wight. We can also recommend other great places to eat and drink, catch live music or even sail for the day! Albert Cottage is a former royal residence once owned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, steeped in history, nestled next to Osborne House. It is now a beautiful 10 bedroomed boutique hotel set in 2.5 acres of stunning grounds. The spacious rooms are individually styled with period decor and furnishings and modern amenities. The restaurant, bar and lounge areas are stylish, elegant and inviting for that perfect relaxing bit of 'me', especially in winter with roaring log fires and a definite romantic air. The staff are warm, friendly but always professional and love to make our guests feel at home and looked after.

Albert Cottage is right next door to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's beloved Palace by the Sea. We are the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Wight; near the ferries and with Cowes, famous for it's sailing, just across the water with the marina's and sailing clubs and a thriving town with boutique shops and a host of restaurants and bars. We are on the main route to Newport, Ryde and further afield and easy access to all areas of the Isle of Wight.
