James & Katherine welcome you to their home, an 18th century large cottage, a 4 star accredited guest house. Only a 2 minute walk to a wide choice of restaurants and pubs. We also have a lovely dining room and a cosy lounge for guest use.

Conveniently located at the top of the High Street opposite the Chard Museum, we are a short walk away from the shops and restaurants. Ammonite Lodge is a 300 year old cottage style building, full of character and charm.

Guests particularly enjoy the peaceful yet convenient location of Ammonite Lodge. Situated in the historic market town of Chard, the guest house is within easy reach of local shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, making it easy to explore on foot. The area is ideally located for discovering some of the South West’s most popular attractions. The spectacular Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is only a short drive away, with the seaside towns of Lyme Regis, Seaton and Beer offering beautiful coastal walks, beaches and fossil hunting opportunities. Guests also enjoy visiting the nearby county town of Taunton, the gardens and historic houses of Somerset, and the stunning scenery of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape.
