We have no wifi and are quite isolated on the B840 a single track good road which skirts the Loch. Stunning scenery and wildlife. 20 miles to Lochgilphead. 40 miles to Oban. 20 miles to Inveraray This semi detached forestry workers cottage is close to Loch Awe the longest freshwater Loch in the UK at 25 miles long and the vast forests and huge waterfall are just up from the cottage. This is a very tranquil area with stunning scenery. We have 2 doubles upstairs bedroims with downstairs bathroom. Open fire for central heating and hot water, or an electric heating system. I stock coal at the cottage and supply at cost. The gardens are a very good size , back garden. PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY ACCEPT ONE PET CHARGES MAY APPLY. PLEASE ADVISE WHEN MAKING YOUR RESERVATION
The area is absolutely stunning, we are approx half way down the B840 which skirts the Loch. We are between Lochgilphead and Oban, the Loch is freshwater and 25 miles long good for fishing for Trout and Pike. There is in the village a falconry experience centre which takes bookings There are forest walks and a huge waterfall just up from cottage, lichen drools from the trees. We get red squirrels and woodpeckers etc on feeders in front garden. Kilchurn castle is on Loch Awe with Carnasserie Castle just off the end of the rd. Kilmartin has a fantastic museum and heritage centre and Inveraray is another highly regarded tourist area. Oban is the main town for shopping.
