Arrow Lodge offers a unique opportunity to stay in one of the gatehouse lodges that flank the entrance to Ragley Hall. This magnificent stately home is the ancestral seat of the Marquess of Hertford, who counts Henry VIII’s third wife Jane Seymour amongst his far distant ancestors. This original gatehouse is one of a pair that still occupies the main entrance to the estate, and it has now been converted into a one-bedroom escape just for two. Step inside and you’ll find a spacious bedroom, a well-fitted kitchen, and a cosy living room. To the rear is a garden with a wood-fired hot tub and a pair of Adirondack chairs. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. 1 well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog and you will be sent a request for the additional fee. Please make yourself aware of the hot tub rules and hours of use. Ragley Hall regularly hosts popular events such as The Game Fair and Classic Ibiza. We advise that you check their calendar of events prior to booking as there can be some noise disruption and congestion on surrounding access roads. As Arrow Lodge is one of the original gatehouses, the gates are also in regular use.

Ragley Estate lies close to the village of Arrow and just a mile from the town of Alcester. The estate plays host to a number of world-class events throughout the year including the National Game Fair, Classic Ibiza, the Classic Motor Show, the Midlands Air Festival and much, much more. This rolling Warwickshire countryside was home to William Shakespeare, and his birthplace and indeed hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon is just a 20-minute drive away. There are a number of great pubs within easy reach and Alcester has a variety of places to eat. Supermarkets and Shopping: There is a Waitrose in Alcester (1 mile) and a large Tesco in Redditch (7.8 miles). There is also the award-winning Hillers Farm Shop (2.1 miles) offering locally grown produce, homemade goods, Ragley Estate Meats, a fishmonger, and an excellent cheese shop. Eating Out: • Arrow Mill Hotel – Across the road (0.2 miles) • The Fish at Wixford, a colourful and flamboyant pub (1.4 miles) • The Roebuck, relaxed dining with a variety of eating spaces (1.6 miles) • Hillers Café, award-winning farm shop café (2.1 miles) • The Tavern, Broom, a traditional 16th century pub with open fires (3.6 miles) Walks: There are lots of walks in the surrounding countryside, some from the front door and some a little further afield but worth the jaunt in the car. Oversley Woods is an ancient woodland just 4 miles away, and during springtime is carpeted with bluebells. The Heart of England Forest (8.5 miles) is a new broadleaf forest across Warwickshire and Worcestershire, which has 8 waymarked trails over varying distances and terrains whilst the 27-mile Arden Way loop trail runs through Alcester (3 miles).
