Balvraid lodge B&B is situated in the rural scotish highlands. With the house set in the middle of a 4000 acre estate. Guests will have exclusive use of a traditional sitting rooms with a large open log fire, and a dining room with a well equipped kitchen fir guest use, downstair loo and a seperate entrance. Upstairs the charm continues in 3 generous ensuite bedrooms with 1 twin room, 1 double room, and 1 super king. All rooms look out over the farmland and moorland. Breakfast is an extensive continental with a few cooked options daily. Specialist meals please specify before arrival.

James and Rachael live in the lodge with our two children Rufus and Edie. We have two very friendly dogs Nelly and Margo, who you may meet outside but do not come into the guests areas and our chickens who live in the garden. We all very much enjoy the outdoors and spend a lot of our time outside! We will be on hand all the time during your stay and will be more than happy to help with local knowledge and putting you in the right direction for the the local attractions!

Tomatin village is approx 5 mins away which has a small local shop and cafe where you can get a few essentials. Tomatin distillery is also in the village and they provide lots of tours on a daily basis. Carrbridge is 15 mins drive away where there is a local pub, also in the village is The Landmark centre and is ideal for children. Inverness and Aviemore are both a 30 min drive away accessing you to the local community and shops. The lodge is in an ideal situation for walkers, golfers, shooters, fishers and any passing tourists. Loch Ness is a 40 min drive and is ideal for anyone in search for the Monster! Please be aware there is no restaurant or pub in Tomatin, the closest one is a 20 minute drive.
