Hello from your hosts Lennox and Clemency! We started this smallholding in 2017, having largely changed careers from medicine and remain on a fascinating vertical learning curve. We have been so fortunate in that we have amazing friends and neighbours who have encouraged and helped us, and our aim is to share what knowledge we have gained with our guests - but equally, to allow folk to simply arrive, put their feet up, and enjoy the quiet sanctuary that this place offers.

Well behaved children and up to 2 pets are welcome BASS ROCK AND BELHAVEN BAY PODS Our two glamping pods are well appointed luxury spaces situated in deliberately slightly wild gardens with stunning views weather permitting. Made in wood, they have wall and underfloor heating ensuring a cosy warm space, a kitchenette, sitting/dining/sleeping areas - and an ensuite shower with flush toilet. The living areas face out onto open countryside, with fantastic vistas over fields, hills, and the North Sea and Firth of Forth, including Bass Rock and the Isle of May. Outside is a patio area, a chimenea to sit around and keep warm whilst taking in one of the remarkable sunsets, and a BBQ. THE KENNELS COTTAGE The mid-Victorian era Kennels were renovated in the early 2020s, making them suitable for both humans and dogs. There are two bedrooms, one ensuite, as well as a kitchen/living room with a wood-burning stove. The underfloor heating keeps them cosy, like the Pods, and there are small garden areas to the front and sides, which were previously outside runs for the dogs. At some point, the Kennels were also a sheep pen - so you would be amongst the first humans ever to occupy this building. EPC rating C. The Pods and The Kennels Cottage are about 150 metres apart (so a large family would be able to see each other easily, as well as having their own individual spaces), and there are walks into the lovely surrounding countryside immediately from the grounds. We do have some home produce from our smallholding, which you are welcome to purchase when available - including eggs and chutneys and occasionally in-season vegetables, honey and meat.

We are located just outside the village of Spott, around two miles from Dunbar, a thriving small town on the East Lothian coast. Dunbar has pubs and restaurants, a variety of individual shops and a local supermarket, garden centre and garage along with a swimming pool, an active fishing harbour, and the ruins of Dunbar Castle. Nearby are a range of fabulous sandy beaches, a surfing school, castles, activity parks, museums and beautiful countryside.
