We were only there 1 night, but has dinner and breakfast. Both meals were the best. Our family rank the meals, rooms, restrooms and staff. The meals at the Allanton stayed at the top of our list the whole trip. If you are looking to get away in a nice cozy atmosphere with service and food. Allanton is the place for you.

The rooms were lovely and bed comfortable. Food was amazing in the restaurant and the staff were all so nice. The location was good too, short walk to the centre with the bars and restaurants. Location was beautiful too with lovely views of the ocean.

The area itself is fantastic, the views at Pease Bay and the...

The area itself is fantastic, the views at Pease Bay and the beach. You can see what remains of a sunken wreck on the beach at low tide. The Magicienne it was sunk in 1940. There are plenty of walks to be had too. If you're interested in old Scottish history you can find St Helens kirk and the remains of a tower house, "Cockburnspath tower house" You will also be amazed by a little fisherman's quay called "Cove" untouched by the modern world, peace and quiet, just the sea and the wildlife. Also you will find Pease Bay bridge, once the world's tallest.
