Hiya everyone, I am Liam the owner and manager of Bayside. I was born locally in Torquay some time ago and lived locally ever since. I spent 21 years working for some of the biggest brewing companies in the UK looking after many different customers. I wanted to spend more time with my 2 young children in this beautiful part of the county so decided to buy Bayside in June 2017 and run it as a family B & B. I have amassed a great amount of local knowledge which I hope to pass on to our guests in order to help them enjoy the local area as much as I have. I look forward to meeting you all.

Property info

Bayside is a beautiful 100 year old building, located right on Preston Sands with easy access to Torquay and Brixham. This building was used by the RAF in World War 2 as a location for the pilots to rest and relax between war time activity. In 2022 Bayside had an extensive refurbishment in keeping with the character of the building and the location. Bayside now retains the elegance of the original building with updated accommodation; now consist of 6 suits containing a master en-suite bedroom and adjoining TV Lounge with kitchenette and sofa bed. Three of the suits contain sea views and private balconies, the remaining three are spacious modern suits however they do not enjoy sea views or balconies. Parking is at a premium in Preston and Bayside has 12 spaces reserved for the guests allowing them to park and relax while enjoying the area. Neighborhood info

Preston is ideally located to make the best of the coast on one side and the moors on the other. Dartmoor can be reached on just over 30 minutes, where you can enjoy staggeringly beautiful walks and locations. On the other side you have the beach and the sea where you can enjoy a variety of water sports, walk the many coastal paths or just sit back with an ice cream or a drink and enjoy the sea breeze and views.
