I am a retired solicitor and I live with my family in the farmhouse which is adjacent to the cottages. I have been working on the barns conversion works for many years and now I spend my time managing the my guests needs and requirements. I am constantly arranging for upgrades and improvements to be made and this is an ongoing process. As I live adjacent to the cottages I am always available to deal with any queries or requirements for my guests. My aim is to ensure that everyone who stays here experiencing a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Our accommodation is located in a quiet village, is self contained, has no areas shared with other guests and is completely self catering. Farm cottages are part of our recently refurbished seventeenth century barns here at Bishops Farm. The conversion of the barns has been a long project taking many years and we are delights with the results. The cottages are spacious and comfortable and retain all the important features of the original building. The conversion work was carried out to the highest of standards by local carpenters and other craftsmen. The cottages are are delightful places to stay in either for a weekend break or for a business person wanting to stay for just one night or for a week or more. We have four cottages altogether : The Hayloft, The Dairy, The Stable and the Top Barn. All are open for business except for the Top Barn which is currently undergoing further improvements. Each cottage has its own front door. On the ground floor of each is the living space comprising a fully equipped kitchen, sofa, flat screen television, table and chairs. Upstairs is the double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. You can book for the weekend (Friday to Monday under ‘Weekend stay’) or you can book for the working week (Monday to Friday under ‘Weekday stay’). They are also available for the entire week (either Monday to Monday under ‘Full week stay 1’ or Friday to Friday under ‘Full week stay 2’). We do not have the flexibility to offer single night bookings.

Bishops Farm and its cottages are located in Tytherington which is a quiet, picturesque village located a couple of miles outside Thornbury and is just off the A 38 a few miles North of Bristol. The business area of Aztec West is fifteen minutes away (except during rush hour periods when it takes a bit longer) and it takes about twenty five minutes to get to the centre of Bristol. It takes about 5 minutes to rive to Thornbury where there are several friendly pubs and an increasing number of excellent eateries. Tytherington has been our home for over 20 years and is a delightful place to live. The village pub, the Swan, which does great food and serves local ales, is a five minute walk away from Bishops Farm and the community run shop is just around the corner from the pub. There are great walks along public footpaths through beautiful woodland and nearby fields and Bishops Farm itself is located on the Avon Cycle Way which links to Bristol and beyond.
