Rachel has recently stopped working, as a teacher. I loved the energy of children, and spent much time organising outdoor trips, Duke of Edinburgh and similar, alongside the regular aspects of teaching; so am looking forward to putting these skills to use in helping you, as much - or as little - as you want, to provide you with a lovely holiday. Eddie, has worked in the travel industry for almost 20 years, so will be providing his expertise and support, as and when required! We both love the outdoors and look forward to welcoming you to our holiday home, helping you make the most of your time away. As owners of an energetic hound, we are well acquainted with the lovely walks nearby and have many suggestions to ensure you see the beautiful views on offer. We have worked hard to research lots of lovely places to visit and eat(!) and are keen to share our hints and tips with you. We have a friendly village pub, serving great food, only a minute's walk from the front door, a lively cricket club and beautiful church. A wonderful range of walks from the property, including the Polden Way, Nature Reserves and the stunning views from Lollover . Close to Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Fleet Air Museum, Hayes Motor Museum, Longleat, and Shearwater Lake. Only 5 mins drive to Clarks Designer shopping outlet, Street, with restaurants and bars. Many country pubs and cider farms close by. Somerton (5 minutes) has a lovely selection of independent shops, art galleries and the opportunity to buy locally made craft/jewellery in the old market cross. The beautiful city of Wells (the smallest city in England), with its magnificent Cathedral, is only 20 minutes drive. Kayaking is possible on the beautiful River Parrett, 15 minutes away. Glastonbury, with the beautiful Abbey ruins and lovely walk to the Tor, is only 4 miles away.
