Our family run business, Bridge End Farm Cottages, also known as Select Cottages, has been providing luxury holiday accommodation in the Lake District for over 35 years. Having renovated each of these special places himself, Greg, knows both the cottages and their location inside out! Bridge End Farm Cottages has an excellent team of staff who you will no doubt meet during your stay and who are regularly available to guide or help you make the most of your time with us! Located in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Bridge End Farm Cottages consists of 7 historic 500 year old cottages sleeping from 2 to 10 guests in a breathtaking location, set in the little village of Boot with it's traditional Inns serving excellent food and fine Cumbrian Ales. Boot lies in the glorious Eskdale Valley and the village nestles beneath mighty Scafell which can be seen from the village so the hiking is exceptional. Base yourself with us for climbing Scafell Pike and many of England's other highest mountains. The cottages, all of which burst with charm and character and unique historical features are quality graded 4 star, 4 star Gold and 5 star. The quality, location and history of our beautifully preserved cottages make for a wonderful experience for couples, families or groups. As well as luxury, our self catering cottages have excellent fibre wi fi and full Sky TV with all sports, movies and children's programmes . We have delightful gardens, free and allocated private parking, amazing hiking from the doorstep. We accept trained, well behaved dogs but no puppies or dogs under 1 year old and all dogs must be booked in and the relevant dog fee paid. Please request bringing your dog(s) when booking. We levy the dog charge as we put in throws for our leather sofas, dog towels for dirty paws, a dog treat and we do an extra special deep clean afterwards. We have easy to follow dog rules which all dog owners must abide by eg no dogs in bedrooms, not left alone in a cottage and not unsupervised or off lead in our gardens where young children often play. Neighborhood info

All of our locations are unique and you will struggle to find anywhere quite like them! Our 7 cottages in Boot village are in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Experience sensational views of the surrounding mountains, enjoy countless walks from the doorstep, hike up England's highest mountains including Scafell Pike, or take a gentle stroll along the footpaths by the River Esk. Boot village has two excellent pubs, well worth a visit to try their hearty Cumberland food. Eskdale Stores is in the neighbouring village and sells a supply of delicious homemade cakes. Don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself!

Extra beds can be provided with the relevant extra person charge paid in advance in Wastwater, Hardknott and Wrynose cottages only.

Towels, linen, toiletries and cleaning are provided.

Please note that Farmhouse, Scafell and Wastwater Cottages have 3 allocated parking spaces each. One parking space is allocated to the one bedroom cottages, Whillan Beck, Wrynose, Stanley Ghyll and Hardknott Cottage. If you require additional parking, please contact the property prior to arrival.

Please note that the additional fold-out bed that can be provided measures 75 in in length and 30 in in width.

All guests must familiarize themselves with our parking plan and park in the center of the bays allocated to their cottage. The parking plan will be sent prior to arrival along with directions, key safe code, wi-fi code, etc. If you wish to bring more cars than there are parking bays please contact us as we can usually recommend some easy overflow options that do not involve parking in someone else's parking bay.

We allow trained, well behaved dogs, no puppies though and the number of dogs varies by cottage, please see the individual cottage descriptions for the number allowed in that cottage. Dogs must be booked in and the relevant dog fee paid and our easy to follow dog rules must be adhered to at all times. This is for the benefit of all guests and especially young children who might be staying in another cottage and playing in our gardens and large communal paddock. Thank you.
