It was originally a croft, converted in the 1960s for a retiring estate worker and his wife. It is laid largely to lawn with mature trees and shrubs, and a wide variety of wildlife visiting the bird table. It is surrounded by fields with grazing cattle and sheep and a small burn (stream) on one side; the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. On the ground floor there is a lobby area with a small boot room, ideal after those muddy country walks. There is a large, sunny kitchen/dining room which is well- equipped, and a dining table seating six guests. There is a cosy lounge with an open log fire, a satellite TV, plenty of books, DVDs and board games to enjoy in the evenings. The family bathroom is downstairs with a shower over the bath. Outside is a substantial stone shed or bothy that is lockable and useful for storing fishing gear, bicycles, and garden equipment.
