Storrington is a bustling picturesque town situated beneath the South Downs. The town itself has a small Waitrose together with village shops and boutiques. There are a variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes. Nearby Steyning also provides these facilities with a delightful village ambience. From the lane you can take a charming 30-minute walk across the countryside to the family friendly Frankland Pub in Washington. Another fabulous place you can visit on foot is Chalk Vineyard on the Wiston Estate, where you can book wine tours, nature walks or enjoy a wonderful meal at The Chalk restaurant. The beaches of the South Coast including Worthing and Goring are within an easy 20-minute drive and there you can enjoy seafront walks, swimming and excellent beachside cafes during your stay. Other highlights of the area include nearby Arundel with its fabulous castle and charming shops, Petworth and Parham Houses, and for nature and bird enthusiasts there is the famous rewilding project at Knepp Castle and the RSPB Bird Reserve in Pulborough. Repair Shop fans can also visit the Weald & Down Museum near Chichester where the programme is filmed.
